INDIVIDUAL, SUSTAINABLE – AND BUNDLED! NEW FEATURES FROM MARTOR FOR SPRING 2023.

MARTOR is the leading international brand for safe and efficient cutting. Quality and innovation have always been at the core of the Solingen-based family business. And so it continues: fifteen new products were launched in April 2023 alone. But something has changed: MARTOR’s new products used to be launched across the year, but now they are being bundled together and released in the spring and autumn.

The latest MARTOR product innovations in the spring of 2023 can best be described as quality and innovation, coupled with individuality/modularity and sustainability. The Solingen market leader has long been embracing and focussing on the topic of “sustainability”. For example, two thirds of all components are being sourced from suppliers within a radius of just 250 km. Also, increasingly more parts made of recycled plastics are being used.

Consequently, MARTOR has been able to launch its first sustainable safety knives onto the market: the new disposable SECUMAX 148 knife (made from at least 80% recycled plastic), as well as two versions of the SECUMAX 350 SE (with a handle made from 98% recycled plastic), a “green” alternative to MARTOR’s best seller SECUMAX 350. Both new cutting tools are the first to use the “Technyl4Earth” recyclate from DOMO Chemicals. The knives belong to the new ECO by MARTOR Line, with take-back schemes for end-of-life products also planned. SECUMAX 148 and SECUMAX 350 SE have concealed blades to provide maximum protection for users and goods and are particularly in demand in logistics (incoming goods).

Another MARTOR best seller is the SECUPRO 625, a premium safety knife designed for the toughest tasks and featuring fully automatic blade retraction. To better meet customer needs for more individuality and modular solutions, SECUPRO 625 is now available in four different versions, for example, with the new stainless and rounded TRAPEZOID BLADE NO. 160099 or the new shortened and, therefore, highly durable TRAPEZOID BLADE NO. 60095. A hooked blade is also available for the SECUPRO 625, e.g., for floor-laying work.

In addition to new blades and product variants, MARTOR has also expanded its range of accessories to enable individualised solutions for special tasks. A CONNECTOR SET is now available for safe and precision cutting at a distance: a telescopic rod plus a flexibly adjustable adapter that can be connected to all the main safety knives in the SECUMAX family (including ECO by MARTOR products). The CONNECTOR SET makes it easier to access and cut highly stacked pallets, hard to reach plastic strapping bands and long rolls of film, to name just three examples.
