ASTONISHINGLY HIGH LEVELS OF COMFORT IN THIS CLASS: THE NEW SECUNORM 175 BY MARTOR.

The nimbly cardboard opener scores with a 4-times usable quality blade which is particularly easy to change; with a handle that lies comfortably in your hand and - for your safety - with an automatic blade retraction.

MARTOR KG is the leading international partner for safe cutting solutions. The Solingen-based family company has been associated with innovation in the manufacture of premium cutting tools for industrial and professional purposes for more than 70 years.

Part of the reason for this is the fact that MARTOR regularly brings new products to the market, such as the latest addition: the handy, comfortable SECUNORM 175 box opener.

What is new about the SECUNORM 175?

The SECUNORM 175 is the successor to the SECUNORM HANDYCUT, which is particularly popular with commercial enterprises. MARTOR claims to make continuous improvements to its products, and has very much achieved this with the SECUNORM 175. This box opener brings astonishingly high levels of comfort to this class of knife, making manual cutting work that much easier.

Its external qualities: The handle is consistently ergonomically shaped, so it is more comfortable to hold.  If you work with the SECUNORM 175 over extended periods, you will come to value the rounded end of the handle in particular as it protects the palm of the hand. The grooves on the slider, which can be operated from both sides, optimise grip when releasing the blade. And the new design is also striking: the cyan-coloured operating elements and the new logo on the handle mean that the SECUNORM 175 is the perfect example of the new MARTOR brand presence.

Its internal qualities: MARTOR has made changing the blade even more user friendly than in the SECUNORM HANDYCUT. You simply need to push the blade change button and open the handle in a backwards direction and the blade cover will lift up of its own accord, releasing the blade for changing or turning. We say “turning” because the SECUNORM 175 blades each have two cutting sides with four sharp edges, thereby quadrupling their operating life.

At MARTOR, performance is always linked to safety. Regardless of whether you want to cut cardboard of up to two layers, foils or plastic strapping, you can rely on the automatic blade retraction for all your cutting work. This means that the blade disappears into the handle as soon as you are finished cutting, provided you release the slider. Cutting injuries can therefore be reduced significantly with a safety knife such as the SECUNORM 175, further increasing the sense of “comfort”.
